SPECTATORS - Part Five
The end of the beginning
How was your weekend?
I just checked the expiration date on the potassium iodine pills in our family’s emergency go-bag; feeling excited about the future!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our discussion about favorite sex scenes in comics. There were a lot of excellent suggestions for work I wasn’t familiar with, and the whole conversation was a welcome reprieve from the horrors of our world.
Speaking of which, before we get to co-creator Niko Henrichon’s harrowing new pages, here’s a brief reminder of where we (and loyal letterer Fonografiks) left theatergoer Val last week:
And now, Spectators continues…
Wait, what?
I thought this serialized graphic novel was supposed to be 300+ pages. Where the hell do we go from there…?
Stay tuned, True Believers. More will be revealed in next Monday’s scene, always 100% free to read, download and own.
We’ll see you Monthly/Annual/Founder-level subscribers back here later this week for an exclusive look at a recent pilgrimage I took to investigate some significant comic-book history. Any guesses? First correct answer wins something cool.
Oh, and from last week’s chat, the randomly selected recipient of my copy of Smut Peddler Presents: Sex Machine (containing an instant classic short story by Fiona Staples) and some other fun swag is…Kimberly E.
Congrats, Kimberly! A highly trained intern from Exploding Giraffe H.Q. should be reaching out to you shortly.
And really, I’m thinking about everyone in Ukraine (do we have any readers still there now?), including the incredible Ukrainian publisher of Saga Ridna Mova.
Does anyone else find themselves signing off with “stay safe,” but for increasingly frightening reasons?
Stay safe,
Brian

And forgive me, I failed to credit John Wagner, Alan Grant and Carlos Ezquerra for that incredibly unsettling Dredd panel!
What. The. Fuck.
First time in a while I've been genuinely shocked reading a comic.
Also, I liked how you put the last page of last week's installment into the newsletter before the new pages. It helped with the flow of the story to remember where we left off without a boring recap.
