See you in 2023!
Hi there, sorry to have to do this in the comments, but I’ve been emailing you all for the past two months trying to get my status changed to paid subscriber. I paid for the year, but the paywall is still popping up, as it did this past weekend with your top comics. I appreciate all you’re doing on here and that you are very busy. But if someone could resolve this I’d be deeply grateful.
happy birthday niko!
and thank you all for all of this!
I'm giving my younger nephew a "child sized safe" which could have either meant a small safe for a kid or a safe big enough to fit a kid in it, he would not clarify to save my life.. I went with the smaller, kid friendly play safe. Let's hope his friends aren't that tiny or I'm in serious trouble.
I may have purchased your top 10 books as Hannukah gifts for myself and I’m gonna open each package every night 😅
Happy Birthday, Niko!!
And thanks to you and BKV for all the gifts this year. Enjoy the holidays. 2023, onwards and upwards!
Maybe I'm not a good Googler. I'll be patient and see where Val is taking us.
Happy Past Birthday Niko!
Happy Holidays Tower peeps!
Happy birthday Niko, and I hope all of you are having great holidays no matter what you celebrate. My big gift this year was for my wife she like the artist Priya Rama, so I got her the original painting that she helped the artist name. I got it at the beginning of the year, but she said I was off the hook for gifts for the rest of the year, so I need to figure out what to get her for 2023. 😅
Happy belated birthday Niko! And happy holidays to all of y'all!
Happy Belated Birthday, Niko! Best wishes!
And Happy Holidays to Brian and Niko and their lovely families and all the subscribers in this very special cyber-place.
Brian and Niko, y'all have brought us a ton of fun and glorious art, but more than that you've created this intimate, super-friendly space for people to get to know you and learn about the crafting of exceptional comics. Thank you so much for your efforts, your time, your genius, and everything.
Brian, please take care of yourself. I got COVID over Thanksgiving in NYC and it was horrendous. It was not just a cold on steroids. I have not been ill since 2018, maybe 2019--I rarely get ill-- & this thing was awful. Stay safe, get lots rest, I wish you a great time with your family.
Peace out everybody...
Happy Born Day Niko!
Happy birthday, Niko! I can only agree with Brian on you being a lovely human being. Here's to meeting again on some comic festival in 2023! And that you're a brilliant artist everybody here agrees, I guess.
I have a deadline on 6th of January, so no holidays for me, just a few unavoidable family gatherings. And I'm fine with it - really not a big fan of Christmas. But I wish you all happy holidays and a New Year better then this one. And I wanna thank Brian, Niko and Fonographics for the book and a community you built here.
Happy birthday Niko, I wanted to spend this holiday season changing my girls mind on how she feels about this holiday. She was never much of a fan but I feel it really brings ppl together. Got us tickets to the trans Siberian orchestra concert but we weren’t able to go, what would have been my future mother in law passed away last week and it’s not exactly a time to celebrate. Instead of visiting my family in Vegas for the holiday this year I’ll be with my girl’s family for support. I hope everyone has a good holiday.
Happy (belated) Birthday Niko!
Thank you all for the amazing year of comic goodness! Hope you all enjoy the holidays and see you all next year!
Delayed cheers to you, Niko!
Happy & Merry wishes to everyone here, too...as much as I love the new Spectators pages each week, and getting to meet BKV at SDCC, it's the reading the posts here each and every week that make me pretty damn happy I braved the waters over here at substack!
I just want to say what a pleasure this comment section has been these last several months. Getting to interact with Brian and Niko, learning from all you wonderful, savvy, interesting commenters, and having a place to share my writings on life and pop culture, it’s been immensely rewarding.
During my first, very lonely, year of film school I was a lurker on the BKV boards. I sometimes regret never joining in but this substack has given me a chance to right that wrong. Plus, I’m in my mid 30s now so I (hopefully) have more interesting things to say than 18 year old me ever did.
