Val's first "guide" mentions that most people opt not to "stick around," especially if their ending was unpleasant. So while the majority of ghosts throughout history have already "moved on," some have not, including some who died unexpectedly early like Val.
I guess since Sam, I hope that's his name, correctly guessed that Val died by gun (which means a lot of Leftovers did?), and we saw the fighter die by hand, I assumed all left around were murdered or such
I was the kind of kid that stayed in the arcade playing Dance Dance Revolution all day instead of riding the roller coasters at theme parks. Roller coasters can't get me if I never ride them.
Those Wordles where it could be a dozen words that end with the same final four letters are such a pain.
My most memorable experience was going to Valleyfair in Minnesota and taking on what was one of the tallest rollercoasters in the world at the time as my first real rollercoaster. I was terribly afraid of heights, and as my mom has described it (many times), I cried all the way to the top on the first climb and then laughed hysterically for the remainder of the ride, through the all the loops and dives it was filled with. That's how I figured out I really loved rollercoasters!
Yeah I got that Wordle in 6. I thought I was going to break my streak at 198 in row. So glad I hit 200, but it gets more nerve wracking as the streak gets higher 😅
I was debating sharing the same info (DL + acid + long haired pals from a buddy's band circa early 90's makes for an interesting time).
Being an old guy now with a family I cannot even begin to imagine what the majority of the park thought of us that visit. All I know is that I have never laughed that long and that hard!
An very old lady yelled at me for standing in the wrong spot (apparently in her way?) for the fireworks at the end of the day at Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Afterwards she also yelled at a small child and what I am assuming was her daughter. Apparently people can still be miserable pieces of shit in the happiest place on earth. I was just jazzed on my Buzz Lightyear Mickey ears and discovering Dole Whips.
No major amusement park issues. But I did catch the Covid this year at Universal in FL and had to drive me and my two kids home on a two day road trip back to Michigan with full blown symptoms. It was pretty much the worst two days of my life. But didn't happen at the park, I guess. And I managed to simultaneously isolate from them while feeding and caring for them without them ever getting sick. So they had their best vacation ever, and I suffered for it. Super Mom powers. 💪🏻
An ex girlfriend dragged me to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal a few years back. I played along despite being afraid of everything...until they wanted to do the exorcist house. So I bought a turkey leg and rode Transformers 8 times instead. 9/10 experience. No lines lol
Does anyone remember the „Lilo & Stitch“-experience, before it was rebranded to that? I went to it when it was still called „Alien Encounter“ and I remember it as a very un-Disney-esque straight up horror attraction with off-brand xenomorphs and, I‘m pretty sure I remember this correctly, warm water raining down on you at one point which was meant to be the blood of someone being slaughtered right above you. I saw this surrounded by grade-school-age kids and their parents, who started screaming the moment the theater turned to complete darkness, and dialled it up through all the alien/murder stuff. Still can‘t believe that was an actual Disney attraction.
I was starting to wonder if I am really remembering it correctly, but yup, wikipedia confirmed it, blood of a murdered technician raining down on you in total darkness.
There's probably more, but the one I'll never forget is The Mummy ride at Universal when I was maybe 14. Like everyone should be, I'm a big fan of Brendan Fraser Mummy movies, but I was just impressed that there was actual flames shooting out at me. Very rad.
Opryland, 1988-ish. After proceeding through their insectarium by the petting zoo, I begin having a severe allergic reaction to...something as I pass the giant hissing cockroaches with some nasty swelling. I got a wheelchair ride (my only to date) and a healthy dose of benedryl-like substance from the in-park med team. My mom felt so bad about it that I got to get a felt puppet/Muppet which I still have. I never really felt awful thankfully. The best guess as to the cause? A cleaning agent used in the animal area. A separate outing the same trip led me to clothes shopping with the legend, John R. Cash. Also during that mall trip, I picked up Excalibur #1. Excalibur, a puppet, AND Johnny Cash?! Probably the best family vacation ever!
Experiencing the Star Wars experience with my family and getting lucky enough to go through Rise of the Resistance. Blew us all away.
Getting on to that ride was hyper stressful. Completely worth it though.
Harrison Ford and his entire extended family cut me in line at Six Flags. Kinda rude but it was very Han Solo of him, so I didn’t mind.
They closed off a section of Auschwitz when I visited in 2009 because Madonna was there with her kids (she was performing in Warsaw that night).
Are Spectators only made if someone dies unexpectedly, like they weren't ready yet to move on? I feel I'm starting to piece a few things together lol

Hallucinogenics at Disneyland was great fun.
That's gotta be one of those things you have to experience for yourself to fully grasp lmao!!!

Haha. Reads like the small child has a daughter. (Not making fun). Lady sounds like the original Karen.
Yeah, I thought it looked goofy when I posted it. Words are hard. We can't all be BKV.
Wow. Thanks for the playlist! That's awesome 😎.

Impressive handling of one of my top ten nightmares, Katie.
i like the week in order on the playlist. classy
i went to the horror nights event this year at universal studios and the halloween inspired haunted house was INCREDIBLE!!
Injecting my wife with medication to trigger ovulation while at Sesame Place.
PS: It worked!

Can't believe this was real either, but off to Google I go...

absolutely true, yes - there's a brilliant docu by the ever-wonderful defunctland about it, check it ou: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGbF_lPWmEI&ab_channel=Defunctland
bring back extraterrorterestial !!!
Oh, wow! Thanks for the link, I can‘t wait to watch that!
Enjoy ! The whole series rocks 😝
Brilliant, thanks Jess!! Added to the watch list!
My girlfriend (at the time) was too scared to "ride" it with me so I went solo and it scared the crap out of me!
They had so many warnings on that ride, too...they knew it was messed up, but were too busy courting the teens back then! Good times!!

#2 is eating escargot at Epcot on that same trip.

Was in the Gravitron and there was a couple making out while inside. It was weird.
